Mary and I recently visited Winston-Salem. We met William Fields (on the right) and his partner Bob Ruckman, both extraordinary artists, and both kind and generous hosts.
Thank you for a wonderful weekend. We hope to visit again soon!

Tom, it was a pleasure meeting you as well. We should have brought our books down for you to sign. Hope our paths cross again.
Rosalie, it was a lot of fun hanging out. I just remembered the author of that vintage paperback we used to own. It was William Irish (aka Cornell Woolrich).
Kenneth, thank you very much for organizing the weekend and for the W-S tours. What a great city, and only three-plus hours away. I think the RiverRun International Film Festival is on our yearly schedule now. Hope to see you in Atlanta! By the way, the caramel cake was a hit!
(The Spring 2012 issue of The Folk Art Messenger contains an article on Bill's work. He's been featured in numerous other publications, including issue #57 of Raw Vision.
